The staff in the hotel is always friendly and i can recommend the hotel to you. even though the rooms are rather small and it is a little expensive- i can tell you : GO AND VISIT...believe it is worth it. by the way: the view from your room is stunning. dubrovnik is an amazing town with an interesting historical background. good place for a city tour.
Regarding your question:
The hotel has family rooms and children are allowed. I think it is definitely possible to go there with a group. There is also a childrens playground. I think it will cost you some money, but it will be worth it!
