When I travelled through the Czech Republic I also stayed in Brno. I lived at International Hotel in Brno and I enjoyed my stay there!
The hotel was not very expensive, but the service and the comfort was quite good!
The hotel had very nice and comfortable rooms. They were small, but clean and tidy.
