I just read your question. I´ve been to Hamina and stayed at Seurahuone Hotel. It´s really a nice place to visit.
First I will say something about the hotel. It´s a nice decorated hotel and the food is good. The staff were always friendly and willing to help you if you need it. The rooms are nice and they are always clean.
There are several things that you can see in Hamina. It will be especially churches that you will visit, because they have enough of those. If you like walking and want to see all that´s going on you will be fine.
If you don´t like that, consider going somewhere else, there are more places in Finland.
